Is a 13 years old (soon 14) capable of owning air-soft guns?

i have been playing with air-soft since i was 10...... and i have shot and been shot by friends xp but adults always tells me that these fake guns are dangerous... i always wear protective goggles and wear a jacket when i mess with my guns....... so i just don't know if it's irresponsible for me to use airsoft guns :/
