Whats a GOOD starter sports bike/ crotch rocket?

I say get an old dualsport. They are dirt cheap, rugged, user friendly and versitile. Learn the fundamentals of riding off road where you don't have to worry about cops and traffic and where mistakes hurt less. Then transition into the road. At that point you will have a better understanding of what you want in a motorcycle and you will start building a stable.
